This game need more to it AS IN MORE LEVELS!!! plz this game was so fun, and I can't wait to see what you make next
(1 edit)

Hey thanks a ton for playing Shadowed Home! We only had plans for adding the second level which is in the game. We are currently developing our next game!

did not expect the scare hahaha, was very creepy and cool little game

We're glad you got scared haha!

I really enjoyed the game! Game me some fright for sure!!

Thanks a lot for playing Shadowed Home! We're glad you liked it!

The game was short and sweet. I had no idea I had to get back to bed but that was because I didn't pay attention at the start. Even so I was able to figure out I needed to turn off lights since that was what the monster was doing. Only complaint I have is that it's too short but I'm sure that was the intention.

We're glad you like it! The length of the game depends on how many lights are turned on at the beginning of the game and if the player decides to get all the achievements. We've seen players finish the game in just a few minutes!

Never thought there would be a game about fighting a lab experiment home invader, over turning off the lights. It was really fun, it took me a few attempts to work out how I need to complete the game once all lights are off. Really loved the image of the player's death, it is so striking.

Hey! Thanks a lot for the video! We're glad you liked it!

Even with the graphic settings being low, the game is still laggy. Other than that, good concept and gameplay.

Hey shrekGKSprivacy!

This is Bradley, the programmer for the game. We used Unity's high definition rendering pipeline to get the lighting in the game just right, but we also wanted a pixel shader to go with the game. Unfortunately, it does not seem like the pixel shader is possible without weird workarounds which is what we did. The game essentially has a camera and a camera texture: the camera renders the normal game and the texture renders the game at a lower resolution giving it the pixel style we were looking for. This can cause some lag on older machines. We are looking into different ways of fixing this issue.

Thanks for the feedback!

That makes sense. I have been using my mac for around 8 years (since 2014). Would you consider High Sierra an older machine?

It depends on which Mac device you have and the components in it. High Sierra came out in 2017 so it should run the game just fine, unless if your Mac device has older components.

I see.

very good game I don't lnpw why i didnt relized that i needed to turn off all the lights lol i loved it it was scary and very tenses game

We're glad you enjoyed the game! Thank you featuring the game on your channel

I don’t have the skills or nerves to play a game like this through BUT I have to say, your whole concept is so neat, from the visuals to the sound and gameplay, it feels unique, charming and the way you tell the story is super interesting (the fact that the protagonist slowly realises what his employer is doing is so good). Great work (and the humor in it really tickled me).

We're glad you enjoyed the game! Thank you for featuring the game on your channel

hi, big thx for the game. greetings from rosti 🙏

Thank you! We're glad you like the game!

enjoy

Hey! Thanks a lot for featuring Shadowed Home in your video! It means a lot! :)

I didn't expect the creature to come upstairs so fast, so that convinced me pretty quickly that it was randomized! Still pretty fun, but such an inconvenient monster!

We're glad you enjoyed the game! Thank you!

Of course!

Interesting game, with great accentuation in the scares... congratulations on the game.

Thank you! We're glad you enjoyed it!

VERY SCARY AND FUNNY HORROR GAME!

We're glad you enjoyed the game! Thank you for playing it in your video!

THIS GAME WAS SO MUCH FUN HOLY, don't get me wrong I crapped myself a few times especially since I suck at games but it was still great nonetheless! (This game starts at 22 minutes in)

We're glad you had fun with the game! :) Thanks a lot for playing it in your video!

The build up to this game is great, it also doesn't hold your hand which is something you don't see very often these days. The monster moves a bit slowly and I'm not sure if it can even catch you unless you get trapped but the rush after turning off all the lights had me frozen the first time haha

Thanks for making games!

Awesome video! We didn't want the player to sit through a 15 minute tutorial just to beat the game in five minutes so we had the objective said as soon as possible within the first 45 seconds. We're glad you liked the way we did that!

I just want to start by saying it takes a lot to genuinely scare me these days... This game very much scared the absolute sh*t out of me. The entire concept of the game is awesome and really enjoyed the Gameplay and Atmosphere!

I was the big dumb and didn't know how to switch floors on the phone map in my playthrough xD but overall I really enjoyed my experience and gave me some genuine scares! Thumbs up for me! Hope you keep making more games! :)

We're very glad you liked the game! Thanks a lot for the video! :)

The game's fun and it took me a bit longer to realize what I actually needed to do. Though I definitely wish the monster didn't phase through the furniture. Overall though, great game.

Here's my channel for other games I have played. https://www.youtube.com/c/Levont

Thanks for the video! Love the intro! I must have forgot to set the objects as navigational static so the NavMesh generates around them. This will be fixed by the next update!

Had fun with this game!  Pretty sure I might have let out a small yelp when being caught the first time lmao.  Took me way longer than I'd like to admit to figure out what was going on in the house and why I kept hearing clicking noises lmao.

We're glad you like it! The prologue, although short, gives you all the information you need to beat the game.

Very true!

The real horror is how much this monster keeps running up my light bill. Great job with a very creepy game.

Maybe we'll have the monster start turning up the heat as well! :P Thanks a lot for the video!

Fantastic game!

Thanks for playing! We're glad you enjoyed it!

I laughed, I screamed, I turned off the lights and went to bed. Overall I thought it was great! Hope you enjoy the video!

Haha we're glad you liked the game and thanks a ton for the video!

Creepy art design really adds to the tension, the shadow creature sounds horrific, overall its a spooky experience.

Thanks a lot! We're really glad you liked the game!

Very cool atmosphere, the fact that the monster is a bit on the silly side is nullified by the horrific sound effects it brings, well put together. Thank you for making this! 1st Game.

Thanks for the video! We love how everyone thinks the monster's species is everything but what we had in mind haha

Creepy game. I wish I knew how to finish it lol

Please subscribe and help my channel grow, thanx!

Thanks a lot for the video! Subscribed as well!

"Turn off the lights. Go back to bed."

Hope that helps <3 It's written at the end of the smaller text, just at the top of the page.

Thank you for streaming, and playing the game! We’re glad you liked it!

Thank you for playing and making a video of the game! We’re glad you liked it!

NO PROBLEM YOU WELCOME (:

nice game

Thanks for making a video about the game! We're glad you like it!

Gave it a Let's Play, unfortunately I gave up chasing after the mice since I swear I found them all expecting an achievement but either missed a mouse or missed whatever I should've done next. (Commentary will also have suggestions I already gave in the comments)

Hey! Thanks for the video! All the princess teehees should be there. We'll triple check that they are all there before we release the next update, though.

Thanks! Yeah, I'd show in the video near the end when I tried to get them all, me showing all the locations I had found and got. You'd def be able to know which I missed

(5 edits)

I just checked the locations of the princess teehes and grabbed them all. The achievement was given to me and I believe I know which one you missed! Also, the intro can be be skipped if you press "Enter" on keyboard and mouse or "Start" on controller. It used to show up during the intro, but I didn't like how it looked so I removed it before release. This will be addressed and changed in the update coming out this upcoming week along with several bugs and other things players have pointed out.

Good game, right?

Yeah!

Thanks for the play! This one was good fun, and I like how the monster is both scary and a little bit funny at the same time. Well done.

Haha thanks a ton! I always figured the monster would have been a little funny to other people, while retaining some sort of scariness throughout the game. Glad you liked it!

Absolutely hilarious, scary and fun.

Love it, great work.

Awesome stuff! Loved the video! Thank you!

good creepy

Thanks for making a video about the game! We're glad you thought the game was good and creepy!

Suggestion: Make the Intro skippable, since many might play the game numerous times to try to get all achievements or due to dying.

(1 edit) (+1)

Hey thanks for the suggestion! The intro can be skipped if you press "Enter" on keyboard and mouse or "Start" on controller. We'll be adding a notification that states the player can skip the intro by pressing either of these buttons.

Creepy as hell, I like it! Good job!

Thanks for the video! We're glad you liked it!

This was fun. I was glad everything was functional although I would like it if I didn't have to be so close to the light switch to interact. Otherwise nicely done.

Thanks for the video and suggestion! We'll be releasing an update that fixes and changes a few things within the next week!

That was a fun experience!

Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it

Great game keep it up!

big ups g
